Why We Built This Site
Georgia gives the public broad access to many court and government records, but Macon County records are not kept in one all-purpose database. Superior Court civil, domestic, criminal, land, UCC, lien, plat, trade-name, and notary records are handled by the Clerk of Superior Court. Probate Court handles marriage licenses, vital records, wills, estates, guardianships, weapons carry licenses, and county traffic citations. Magistrate Court handles many warrants, preliminary hearings, county ordinance cases, bad-check matters, and civil claims within its jurisdiction. The Sheriff handles jail, incident reports, civil process, warrant execution, and law-enforcement records.
The site brings those local routes into one reference point for Macon County, Georgia. It uses the county's own office structure, Georgia's Superior Court terminology, and the practical difference between online indexes, counter access, mail requests, and open-records requests under the Georgia Open Records Act.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to Macon County government, Georgia courts, the Clerk of Superior Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, the Sheriff, DDS, GDC, or any federal court. There are real limits to what a private reference site can do:
- We cannot file pleadings, petitions, traffic payments, or open-records requests for anyone.
- We cannot issue certified copies of court records, marriage records, probate filings, traffic dispositions, or vital records.
- We cannot give legal advice or interpret how a Georgia statute applies to a specific person or case.
- We cannot guarantee that every office hour, fee, address, or phone number remains current after publication.
Only the office that keeps the record can issue an official certified copy or confirm whether a restricted file may be released.
