Public Access to Macon County Court Records

Georgia's public access framework starts with the Georgia Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. 50-18-70 et seq., which presumes public records are available for inspection and copying unless a specific exemption applies. Court files also operate under court rules. Uniform Superior Court Rule 21 recognizes public access to court files unless access is limited by law or court order.
